Its sounds a lot like the Wget or MSProxy spider. I'm kidding of course. You might try checking out this site [ufsia.ac.be] to search for information on the biological varieties of spiders (and not the binary type). ;)

Welcome to Web Master World,

A forum where people talk about building and promoting Web sites. What we call spiders here are actually computer programs that "crawl the Web" looking for interesting pages that will be later put on search engines.

I believe it is not the best place for real spider indentification.
