Never saw this one before this weekend. Have I missed it, or is this new?

We had the same spider from the same IP around for the first time this weekend as well.

I also have that class C knocking out trekXX.sv.av.com, and even an libwww-perl/5.53 from 209.73.162.44.

I'm sure i've noticed several variants of scooter vns in my log files for months now ... never thought anything of it until seeing people here query it ...
the one that came to me yesterday was:
209.73.162.13 HTTP/1.0 scooter-venus-3.0.vns - -
seems to be fairly well behaved, follows links, always checks for robots.txt ... but don't know any more than that ...
