It could be a spider.

Can you give us a snip of your log files? (just a couple of requests) It could help very much.

The host name does not reverse lookup. If you post the IP, I'll poke around a bit.

Stavs what littleman meant by "The host name does not reverse lookup" is that we cannot "translate it into an IP address" in this case.

What statistic software are you using for your site? Usually a "log file" start with IP address and look a bit like this:

208.43.165.138 - - [17/Aug/2001:09:27:18 -0400] "GET /styles/win.css HTTP/1.1" 200 1067
208.43.165.138 - - [17/Aug/2001:09:27:18 -0400] "GET /js/NS_fix.js HTTP/1.1" 200 1672

If you can provide us with IP adress some members here can tell you more about it.
