The pages that it requested, apart from index.asp, are all old pages which it must have got from a search engine listing somewhere.

Can't find a mention of Rainbot anywhere in the WebmasterWorld search. The only thing that Google turned up was something that looks like an IRC bot [home.dal.net]

I saw the same address also run "RainSpider".

Searching the web I didn't turn up much, although I did find a site that offered poetry by a "RainSpider", and (elsewhere) discussion of AI, so a totally off the wall guess would be this is an AI robot collecting text to form into poetry.

Might sound mad, but I'm pretty sure that WebCollage does something similar with pictures.
