The pattern is that the UA EyeNetIE fetches the page and then in the same second, or one second later, an actual user fetches it. The IP of the two fetches are exactly the same, never more than one second apart.

Actual user is using IE 5.5

A google search just shows a bunch of sites' server logs.

Anybody know what it's about?

It is probably using a script that is setup that way. There are some perl scripts that work that way. They'll send out two requests for the same page.
