I did not find anything posted searching for this Internet-structure-research-project-bot UA but just saw a visit coming from a CLOUD Serverius (RIPE) range:
92.63.110.0/23
92.63.110.0 - 92.63.111.255

Entire UA: "Internet-structure-research-project-bot"
requested only the root but since it is on a domain that I'm closing there's nothing much there. No images were included so it is only 2k file with inline css, nothing else to request except a clear .png file. I am afraid it added nothing to their "research".

Did not request robots.txt which does exist.

Oh, gosh, there it is. I searched for the string "research-project" and came up with a few dozen hits across various sites, all with the exact UA you report. Some of them were from 92.63.blahblah, others from 213.159.213.abc (a Russian server farm so obscure, I would have mistaken it for an infected human machine if I hadn’t looked it up just now) and one or two other IPs. All blocked--root / requests only--which explains why the name was new to me. Missing one header, which is all it takes.
