Seems to be a new range here:

COCCOC-VN
103.131.68.0 - 103.131.71.255
103.131.68.0/22

Requests were used with the following UA: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686) AppleWebKit/536.11 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/20.0.1132.47 Safari/536.11, No Robots.txt requested but it did pass the headers tests, hmmmm...

I did ban the coccocbot on HTAccess level sometime in 2012 I think.

103.131.71.* I thought they were always in this range. My UA is different from yours. I thought COCCOC was Google search specifically for the Viet language? I don't ban and they behave, so no issues. Mine does read robots.txt

UA:
Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; coccocbot-image/1.0; +http://help.coccoc.com/searchengine)
Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; coccocbot-web/1.0; +http://help.coccoc.com/searchengine)

103.131.71.14* [05/Dec/2018:16:26:41 GET /robots.txt HTTP/1.1 200 1551 - Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; coccocbot-web/1.0; +http://help.coccoc.com/searchengine)

...they were always in this range...

That is what I thought all though on a smaller scale such as /24, so they were blocked by UA.

I guess that is why I have not seen this in my generic logs. Now that it is trying to sneak under generic Chrome/20....

Their other range is 123.30.75. They probably own a bigger sector, but all coccoc visits I've seen come from one of two /24 ranges: the 123 one, and the slightly newer one listed in this thread.

Edit: afaik, they're a compliant search engine based in Vietnam. (Go to their web page and you'll see a mountain of diacritics decorating the bare “CocCoc”.) I've had them in the Ignore bin for a while.
