Remember msnbot-media? For years it was The Robot That Would Not Die. Well, I just looked it up for At Home with the Robots purposes, and found that it hasn't shown its face since mid-May, 2017. And nobody ever missed it.

I also found that, within the logset that I was checking, its total number of visits was 666.

Coincidence, you say? I once knew someone in a different venue who kept careful count of his posts, and stopped when the total reached exactly 256.

I think Bingbot has pretty much taken over most all the duties of msnbot and its media persona as well. The transition did take a long time though.

As for the numerological significance, I don't participate. Too silly... if I did pay attention to that stuff, I might take notice of the fact that my office number is 403 and my office number at the last building was 404, but I moved.
