Rhetorical question: Does anything good come out of AppEngine-Google?

Google Translate says that “kloop” is Afrikaans for ... wait for it ... “kloop”.

AppEngine-Google is an environment/platform that supports app development. Anything that helps innovation is a good thing theoretically IMO.

However, in practice these experiments end up scraping data from our sites without asking permission nor offering compensation, much the same as the computer science dept student projects that quality as PITA.

Presumably, after their testing they launch under their own unique UA with some type of documentation, but until that time, I block them all. They can do their testing on someone else's server.

As far as Afrikaans, difficult to tell. Their domain is Google Domains and the info is obscured behind Google's new "no PII" WHOIS. Their site is built with & hosted at weebly.com headquartered in San Francisco. They could be anywhere really.
