They're up to no good. A script warns me every time someone attempts to access nonexistent pages on a domain of mine and based on what they're trying to access I have a good guess on why they crawl. Some of the pages I caught it visiting:

/administrator
/adminzone
/manager

Those are the only types of pages it ever tried to access. It's always poking at possible admin areas, looking for vulnerabilities, never trying to visit something innocuous like /adorablepuppies. It's ironic that their policy page is prefaced with "If you've noticed an accessing from our server to the websites on your server and you consider it as suspicious", and they're audacious enough to then ask you to whitelist them!
