Yes Torontoboy, you could see requests from these UAs in your logs.
These tools can be run from the server and used via HTTP. Even some hosting companies offer them with accounts (mine does.) There are also numerous other agents that target PDF. There are several agents that can even scrape your page content and turn it into a PDF. Most all containing the "pdf" attribute in the UA string.
If you have PDF published at your website, you may wish to control what UAs have access.
