Forum search shows some entries, which are hard to locate due to their age (?). [google.com...]

Magic Browser has been around for years, but I haven't seen it in my logs for a while: [webmasterworld.com...]
MAGIC BROWSER is a small Windows web browser designed to simply web navigation sessions to a few clicks
softpedia.com
Judging by the behavior I've seen and that which has been reported, I actually think this agent is a harvestor and not a "web browser."

Do you suppose a verb get lost, or did they mean “simplify”? (And what are they simplifying from, if so? Web navigation is just “a few clicks”.)
Search through raw logs (running in the background while I typed the above and looked at softpedia's page to confirm the typo) reveals a whopping total of one request with this UA. Not one page, just one request. Image. Blocked. IP 76.102.84.xyz (human Comcast range, I think). It didn't come hot on the heels of a human request for the same file, so wtf?
:: further detour to actual image file, and html containing its alt, to see if that sheds any light (Spoiler: It didn't) ::

Being how softlayer.com / softpedia.com is Japanese, my supposition leans more towards ESL.
