Is this a brand-new robot? I find human visits with reddit referer, but no redditbot.

Related: You may also find requests for your favicon--only--from random humans, giving a reddit page as referer. This is a popular reddit addon, triggered when someone views the page containing a link to your site.

Once when my son was visiting, I observed him reading reddit threads. I said “reddit? Isn't that the one where everyone goes around insulting each other?” He said “No, you’re thinking of 4chan”. Anyway, that's how I knew whom to ask when I was hit with a flurry of favicon requests with a reddit referer.

Don't know about the bot history. I think I saw it a few months ago, but just got around to allowing it through my IP filters. I remember once getting a few hundred visitors from someone posting a backlink... kinda like in the early days of stumbleupon.
