Integrity is a Macintosh application which checks for broken links. It's not specifically for edu link pages, although I suppose someone could use it that way.
I run Integrity every few weeks to spider my own sites or client sites to check for broken or redirecting links that need to be updated. Its reports are a major weapon against link rot.

Over the last 3 years of logs, I've only seen it validating links to my sites from edu resources. Thanks for the additional info (correction) buckworks.
