Registered about a year ago. I don't think I've actually seen them yet, but what the heck are they doing over here?

Good find. Are they crawling from that range? That's the only concern I have really, not what ranges they lease.

WHOIS doesn't say it's a crawl range, but then that new Bingbot range didn't say crawl either and it is.

Are they crawling from that range?

I checked before posting: I was pretty sure I hadn't met them, but there's always the possibility that they'd got themselves blocked on non-IP grounds, in which case I'd never notice anyway. No sign of them to date.

:: now back to pondering headers in latest category of spam (email, not logs), which includes such goodies as "Billions-Exhaustive:" "Perishing-Bountiful-Specious:" "Streams-Effigy-Randomize:" "Rearranged-Overhearing-Exhortations:" and "Excursion-Paralysis-Gayly:" I mean, wtf? ::

"104.193.88.0/22 Baidu USA" probably should have its own thread so others will see it (and since Baidu is not a server farm.)

If they named it Baidu USA then there's a logical assumption this range will be used for a competitive SE right here in River City and that rhymes with "oh oh, they're here!"

Just run a reverse DNS check on that /22 and found them all to be empty of anything. I would have expected something since registration date (6-Nov-2014) so it's probably only corporate stuff?

Yeah, most likely the break room.
