UA: EasyBib AutoCite (http://content.easybib.com/autocite/)
Protocol: HTTP/1.1
Robots.txt: No
Host: AWS
54.72.0.0 - 54.95.255.255
54.80.0.0/12, 54.72.0.0/13

As described, this is a tool that cites the source when the user posts a quote or snippet from a web page. Useful to me since schools use my site as an authoritative source, might as well get credit. Includes a link-back, however it is a nofollow... still, I allow it.

I allow EasyBib too. Even get a trickle of traffic from the backlinks, so don't mind too much that they're nofollow.

Another one that comes around even more often is called Blackboard SafeAssign. Apparently teachers use it to check for plagerism in student papers.

Yup, I allow Blackboard as well. They hit in pairs from the same IP. The first hit is with the Java UA which gets a 403. Then the branded UA hit comes a milisecond later and gets through.
