There's an advertising reseller I allow access.
UA: ADmantX Platform Semantic Analyzer - Turn - ADmantX Inc. - www.admantx.com - support@admantx.com
Host: plusserver.de: 188.138.0.0/17 (among others)

There's another actor showing-up that *does not* make it through my filters.
UA: ADmatX Platform Semantic Analyzer - APAC - ADmatX Inc. - www.admatx.com - support@admatx.com
Host: plusserver.de: 188.138.0.0/17

The second one is missing the "n" in the bot name, the URL and the email address. That URL does not exist.

So... the mystery is, did these guys run out of "n" that day? Or is this an imposter that just happens to host on the same range, and if the later, then why the missing "n?" Would an imposter want to appear like the authentic? I email their support (with the "n") but have not received a reply.

Anyone have knowledge of this, or at least a theory?

It appears it *was* them. I received no reply to the email I sent, but the UA for this range now matches the other hits.
