Are you sure that's a legitimate Yahoo bot?

No.

I have not seen any part of the below snippet from the UA in the past, so it may well not be a legitimate Yahoo UA. Not versed in Apple-speak. However, it does look peculiar.

YahooMobileHomerun/1.0 (iOS Homerun;6.2.1.621314490)(Apple;iPhone4,1;iPhone OS/8.0.2)

69.114.98.17 isn't a Yahoo range, so the UA question becomes slightly irrelevant, unless it's one of those links-from-an-app thinges. Did they really ask for "example.com" as a filename, or was that an artifact of editing-and-posting? Was it a humanoid visit or clearly robotic?

Following various links leads to, among other things, handsetdetection dot com-- a site I have never heard of in my life, and I must say the front page does not inspire confidence. But at least it means that other people have met the UA.

This would be a lot easier to look up if there were not so many games and apps with "Home Run" in the name :(

The request was for a photo that is no longer available.

I thought at the time of posting that it was a robot, but further investigation appears to indicate it was a human. I believe I jumped to a conclusion that it was a Yahoo bot, principally because my site sees 80-100 hits a day from a Yahoo range - 68.180.228.xx.

Live and learn...
