AVSearch 3.0 is AV's commercial search engine software. It is primarily used by ecommerce sites to handle on site product searches, but it has all the bells & whistles that Scooter has, and it can be used to crawl and index the web as well.
More than likely, the hit in your log file is someone using it in this fashion.
