Just had a visit from scoutjet on a new (to me) IP range...

199.87.248.0/21 (199.87.248.0 - 199.87.255.255)
rDNS: hhh.scoutjet.com

That's three ranges I now have (had) for blekko's scoutjet...

38.99.96.0/24 - still rDNS of scoutjet

64.13.159.0/24 now seems to be abandoned by blekko (ie no rDNS)

I haven't seen anything from scoutjet this month until the new one. The new range looks much more impressive so maybe the other /24 will soon be discontinued.

We aren't going to discontinue using 38.99.96.0/22. We have 1,500 servers now.

GregLindahl - does that mean you "belong" to blekko? Welcome!

I take it from the way you worded your comment that 64.13.159.0/24 is no longer used for scoutjet. Any other ranges we should be aware of? Not all of us can use rDNS lookup on our servers.

I am blekko's CTO and one of the founders.

64.13.159.0/24 is still owned by us, and might be used in the future. The authoritative list of scoutjet IPs can always be found at [scoutjet.com...] , which is the URL included in our user-agent.

GregLindahl - thanks for the reminder. I recall now that your bot page is actually useful, as compared with many that are very poor. I think I got the original IP list from that page. :)
