I mean I've seen a lot of Fake ones, and I mean it, a lot.

But today is the first time I see GBot is trying to access one of my sites from CH IP Range.

Reverse: crawl-203-208-60-172.googlebot.com

dnsstuff reports on this IP:

inetnum: 203.208.32.0 - 203.208.63.255
netname: GOOGLECN
descr: Beijing Gu Xiang Information Technology Co.,Ltd.
descr: Bldg 6, No.1 Zhongguancun East Rd, Beijing
country: CN
route: 203.208.32.0/19

3 Attempts, all got 403, I don't do China on this site.

Did I miss it before?

blend,
I've seen it recently as well.
One of the requests was for a page that has not existed in more than seven months.

There was a much earlier Google from a 202 range that I had long denied.

Shoot, this is a crawler for the main US Google SERP. The homepage of the site in question has a Cached Access Denied Page.

Even Google is out-soycing to China Now.

Interesting fact is that the title of the page is replaced with the companies official name and snip is an ODP Description.

Thanks for the heads-up blend27.

Can anyone else verify this Google range crawling for main US Google SERP?

I was sure I had that range blocked but somehow it wasn't. It is now.

Turns out it was a new Chinese MS range I blocked. :(
