This thing is still going and going. Sorry I've been away so long, I don't even know what a twitter storm is, and can't find anything about it online. Help, please?

Original thread [webmasterworld.com].

Dunno about storm, but about Twitter Swarm --

Ages ago when I first saw a handful, then a lot, then a score-plus of post-tweet (and then re-tweet) hits from all manner of bots, readers, data miners, aggregators, wanna-be whatevers, and cloaked crap, the mass reminded me of a swarm. So if you see a reference to Twitter Swarm, say, in the Amazonaws thread [webmasterworld.com...] , that's the backstory.

(Aside: I also call post-tweet swarmers Fellow Travelers, but that's mostly meaningful to pre-Cold War folks:)

Oy, I meant twitter swarm. Thanks, now I understand it.

Fellow travelers is too old for me :) or even my dad. but my grandfather was definitely a fellow traveler.
