This just lobbed into one of our sites from 69.71.222.nnn / CIDR 69.71.128.0/17

It had a blank user agent and supplies a referrer in this form:

http:// www. sitedossier. com/site/www. example.com
(link deliberately broken with spaces)

Did not request robots.txt, took the index page and left.

There is not much of any use about it in Google, but does appear to have been around for a couple of years.

I can't recall the last time I saw anything sitedossier-related. Regardless, they're blocked by UA (none), IP (.186), and REF (fake). Easy to weed out as the bot always uses the same log-spamming referer format.

Once in 2008, I saw the same type of referer used by a different server farm IP: 77.245.55.25n (Webair). May have been an early test host or distributee or whatever. FWIW

Also, the sitedossier.com site's been marked "beta" since at least 2008. (And I thought I was slow to update on occasion:)

I saw this one recently as well (7th of July & 12th of August).
On the 7th it had the referrer without www, on the 12th, with www
