FWIW, I've blocked .your-server.de for as long as I can remember because...

your-server.de hosts bad bots -
findfiles.net, heritrix, Mr. X, GrubNG, Eurobot, etc.
[webmasterworld.com...]

This is a new range not mentioned in the thread you linked. They seem to have a lot of these.
