ROBOTS.TXT? No

Another one of those next generation search engines even though it doesn't use those words. To me next generation means it doesn't think it needs to read robots.txt!

Here's a circa May, 2009, thread what about what this bot used to be:

flatlandbot/allspark [webmasterworld.com]

Bot-runner Jason (a.k.a. poster "baypup" in that thread) commented:

All my bots obey robots.txt, and if they don't I would like to know about it.

Call my NOC phone if I can help - 816-309-1463

If you opt to call him, feel free to remind him what he said about his bot(s) obeying robots.txt.

: )

Funny how many bots' alleged misbehaviors are to their owners' advantage...

Thanks, Pfui. I remember flatland quite well. Never associated it with this new one though. And I see it's not even new. Keyplyr spotted it and reported it in the last message of the thread you linked to.

I think I'll take a pass on calling Jason though. ;) I'll just add this UA to my banned list and go do something fun like getting a root canal.
