mtrack.nl
77.245.87.nnn
ws01.mtrack.nl

robots.txt? NO

I'm unsure if this was log spam or a crawl of some kind.

Based on the files taken it seems like a crawl since it started at the default root page and followed every link in the main menu and on each page.

It left link spam with every request so it might be log spam.

But I can't quite figure out what purpose the originating website serves because it's in Dutch and I can't seem to get a good translation.

Gary, how does the UA appear? Where is "mtrack.nl" in the string?

keyplyr:
ws01.mtrack.nl := hostname

GaryK:
mtrack.nl := commercial website statistics and tracking program

I always format my reports like this:

1) UA string
2) IP Address
3) Reverse DNS
4) (optional host info)
5) robots.txt? YES/NO
6) Details about the visit

:)

Thanks, trasher!

For those of us who do not administer the server, it's very helpful to post the entire request so we can see exactly how the UA string is built and therefore block in the most efficient manner. Thanks.
