Did not request robots.txt

Took only a couple html pages.

Interesting,

After reading this post I went to their site and searched for "niche widgets" knowing that I usually come up in top 5 on G(That is the result set they use anyway) for that.

And after few minutes my site was Graced by a visit by this bot. So I just did a few more searches where I know I come up as #1 or in top 3 for other pages on the site. Let's see if this was a coincidence.

I can confirm that searching on Mahalo.com for a phrase for which you rank well does trigger a visit from "Mahalobot/1.0 (+http://www.mahalo.com/)". The IP address was 68.64.188.186, and --like many other human-edited search/directory services-- it did not request robots.txt. This is fairly common when the robot's URL fetch list is human-contributed, rather than being generated by crawling.

So, based on the search results (which looked fairly good), I'm giving this one a temporary pass to see if it results in any useful traffic, despite the facts that it doesn't fetch robots.txt, it's UA string just points to their home page, and I couldn't find any "Webmaster info" page on their site.

As with other issues I've posted about in this forum, this is not a recommendation, it's just what I decided to do... :)
