I have been seeing a lot of UAs with a link back to the bot's website where there's mention of the bot being part of a Next Generation Search Engine.

Since that phrase is capitalized I thought maybe it was a bot that anyone could make use of like Nutch. But I can't find anything about it on Google.

Are any of you familiar with this term? Is it just marketing-speak or does it represent a brand of bot?

I would say the phrase "next generation search engine" roughly translates to "Google killer".

I have seen it used by many wannabes and don't take it seriously.

Guruji is a search engine aimed at the Indian market and seems well-behaved.
