odd access log entry

access log get form entry

hi all, I'm new to these forums so bear with me

I'm getting strange entries in my access log

62.54.4.zzz - - [16/Mar/2008:22:28:01 +0000] "GET /<\\/form> HTTP/1.0" 404 208 "-" "nutch/Nutch-1.0-dev (nutch)"

this one seems to be from a prototype web bot called "nutch" but I've had similar entries generated from apparently legitemate browsers

my question is, what are they trying to do with a "GET </form>" request ?

but it looks to me like it's requesting a literal html tag which doesn't make sense to me

any pointers that might help to make sense of this for me would be gratefully received
