Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been around much lately.

I thought Google told us that all their bots would have a PTR of googlebot.com.

This one has no PTR at all!

Can anyone vouch for it as being legitimate?

This is some sort of google tool.
I have logs saved from Feb 2006 in which the Google IP range was pre-fecthing pages-minus-images, while the visitors browsing was simultaneoulsy making full page requests (plus images).
Later in the logs, the google tool made about ten successive requests for the same image.

I've had .(19[2-9]¦2[0-5][0-9])\. denied since.

Seems like yet another well-behaved bot, LOL.

My main concern is accuracy before adding it to my browscap files. Based on what you've told me and other sources it is legitimate.
