It wasn't abusive in any way. Behaved like a human powered browser.

Has anyone heard of it before other than in log file references on G? There is no mention of it on a site-specific search for microsoft.com

It seems to be the beta 2007 version of Ms WebDav.

Personally, I don't take kindly to visitors in which similar log lines begin with either "OPTIONS" or PROPFIND".

Even if the visitor failed to access your system and even IF the attempt was accidental (regardless of effectiveness), an attempt was made.

Don I didn't even notice the OPTIONS entry in the logs until you mentioned it here and I went back to look. There was just one. There was also one HEAD request. The rest were GET. Thanks for the info about WebDAV.
