Trying to add my sitemap to Google but for some reason Google is reporting back an error in it. I can't find it however. Anyone any idea what is?

Thanx a lot.

One thing I see is that your URLs do not point to files, but to directories. They should point to files.

Pointing to directories should be fine.

I think your problem is this line:
<urlset xmlns="http://www.example.com/">

Assuming that the URL you have in there is pointing to your own site, you'll probably get an error. It should be pointing to the sitemap schema on Google:
<urlset xmlns="http://www.google.com/schemas/sitemap/0.84">

Also you should be aware that giving every page a priority of 1 is counter productive and you might as well leave that field out :)
