They're both hosted on layeredtech.com, the IP was from bulldogdsl, so I'm not sure this was a spamming effort or some weirdo toolbar thing.
I've been seeing so many user agents with web addresses in them that now I just universally block everything that has what appears to be advertising in the UA.
My webstats are now an advertising medium.

Some real junk comes from layered. I have portions of their ranges denied.
There was a time when I added all these log spammers to my denys.
Today I just leave them alone. Eventually they go away.
My feeling on makiing inquiries in the open forum for these types of things (and colo's also) is that we only enhance their effort of advertising, thus, I don't even pass them on.
