the same address is hit with a different number a the end. It seems to make between 2 and 4 hits at a time running every hour or so.
The host always changes and the only other information is:
Http Code: 404 Date: Apr 05 05:29:22 Http Version: HTTP/1.1 Size in Bytes: 13773
Referer: -
Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)
One possibility is that someone owned the domain prior to you and had a file located at that URL. Another less likely possibility is that the bot is in development or has an error that results with file/directory paths from one domain name getting joined with your domain name instead.
Hope that helps, let me know if you have any more information about the issue or if you have any questions.
However the url always changes and its never been one that I have ever had heres another one...

The IP is 207.200.116.7
Which comes up with
207.200.116.7 = [ cache-ntc-aa03.proxy.aol.com ]
OrgName: Netscape Communications Corp.
So is AOL looking for something?
So far this month its hit the site looking for tracker.swf 13,643 times!
Does the path/filename ever change or is it just the query string (the numbers after the question mark) that changes?
You could be right, it might be trying to find a specific filename on every site for some unknown statistical purpose. It would be interesting to know if any other members have seen this behavior from this bot on their websites.
There is still the possibility that it is a glitch in the bot or very old leftovers from a previous owner.
Anyway, it seems you have found a good solution :-)
It is too bad we cant solve the mystery though... lets get someone from Netscape over here! After all, Google can post here so why can’t Netscape?
