Took the one high traffic page. IP range is JPNIC-NET-JP.

The IP Address does seem to belong to Yahoo!.

As best I could tell from the content in the UA's URL, this bot is indeed Yahoo!'s Japanese indexer. It would be nice if someone who spoke Japanese could confirm the Babel Fish translation for me please. ;)

This week I saw two new bots from Yahoo! Japan.

Y!J/1.0 (http://help.yahoo.co.jp/help/jp/search/indexing/indexing-15.html)

and

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; Y!J; for robot study; keyoshid)

Both of them used the same IP Address as the one keyplyr posted. Both read and respected robots.txt. Both bots took the same pages at exactly the same time and date.
