i've had a visit from these hosts:

atrium4-1.bcentral.com
atrium5-1.bcentral.com
atrium8-01.bcentral.com
atrium7-1.bcentral.com
atrium6-1.bcentral.com

all within minutes, sucking down all my pages, including those blocked in robots.txt, does anyone know who this is? they don't identify as a bot when they visit.

"Forged hostname"

Is that what all that nonsense means Dan?

I miss Geroge's canufly. Saw a note in usenet where he is going down completely. Said he'd been been doing this computer thing for nine years and needed a change.
I was unable to recall what block I used on the DNS-Stuff page for there server names. It surely wasn't ping or tracert.

You used DNS lookup (top on the right). In the past, I've come across hostnames that were definitely forged (talked to the perpetrator) and they had the same fingerprint.

thanks for the help, and for the search.

i've been trying to figure out how to search properly on the forum, it's just something i have to practice as i've never searched through one particular site before coming here.

The best way to search this forum is to go to Google and include "forum11" into your search.... like "Botname forum11" (without the quotes). "forum11" is the directory in which this forum is located on the Webmasterworld server and including that in the query brings up posts from this forum on Google.
