Now crawling from Japan?

Just noticed the following:

211.14.9.246 - - [03/Jun/2005:00:00:00 -0500] "GET /" 200 1456 "-" "Mediapartners-Google/2.1"

Looks like this IP belongs to the range (JPNIC-NET-JP, 211.8.0.0 - 211.19.255.255) allocated to Japan Network Information Center.

I have not seen Mediapartners bot using this IP range before.

Is this for real, or someone crawling around using a fake UA?

Interesting. Said IP appears to belong in a range assigned to Yahoo Japan Corp.

Yeah, I also noticed that the IP seems to be assigned to Y! Japan. Strange!

What is equally interesting is that there was a second visit using a different UA, as in:
