Unidentified bot from dxi.net

Generic UA string. Doesn't fetch robots.txt.

Just noticed that some of my sites have been getting monthly visits from 212.95.252.16 belonging to dxi.net. Appears to be a bot because it only fetches / without requesting CSS or images. It does not fetch robots.txt and provides no identifying info in the UA string. The UA used is "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)"

A search of webmasterworld turns up a listing for the class C in the perfect .htaccess ban list thread, but I didn't see any explanation.

Forgot to mention that on one occasion it made a "HEAD /icons/apache_pb.gif" request. The rest of the visits were all "GET / " requests.

I have that as belonging to Netcraft.

Hmm, just checked and that's what I'm getting now as well.

Last night, 212.95.252.16 was resolving to dex-252-16.dxi.net. Today, it's resolving to lager.netcraft.com.

Maybe it was some temporary rDNS wackiness that got corrected or worked itself out. I wish netcraft would just identify themselves rather than spoofing a user agent.
