A few days ago, I grew tired of these very brief UA's
EX:
Mozilla/3.01 (compatible;)

Adding them to my SetEnvIf.
Please note how fast the visitor changed the UA?
TWO (2) seconds.
I'm not sure that this could be done automatically by a browser or software. More like a script or perhaps a refresh button on the toolbar.
In any event, I'm going to deny the range as well.
This Colo IP been a thorn for some time

You need to be careful. That UA is typically used by an ISP's web cache.

How do you know that's associated with an ISP's web cache? Is there a reference somewhere that explains which UA strings are valid or are you basing this on experience?

BlueSky,
It's his experience and my oversight.
After he mentioned it, I recalled it being discussed previously.

If there is any place on the web for referecne in complete detail of cache and proxy servers?
I sure haven't found it.
There are bits and pieces of reference however, no detail,
