Analyze your log: how to exclude yourself?

How to avoid being counted? Your own visits to your website...

Hello!

I'm trying to find out how to exclude myself when counting visits to my site... I have adsl connections and my ip floats so I can't exclude a whole subnet because users with same ISP as me wouldn't be counted...

I'm using a handy tool called Absolute log analyzer from Bitstrike, and tech support told me:

I use internet explorer 6...

But the last comment about being carefull scares me...
Why? I don't understand what that implies... I just want to exclude myself from being counted... how do I do that?

My suggestion shouldn't alarm you in anyway.
I was merely advising that methods of changing the UA be discussed privately (via sticky mail) rather than the open forum.

Of course I'm only a visitor here, like yourself and should you desire to do as you please, there would be no harm in that.
It is however off-topic in this forum.

The advice given at http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum39/1328.htm [webmasterworld.com] in the Tracking and Logging forum looks better to me anyway than changing the user-agent string.
