This spider has an user agent of:

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)

The domain SNET seems to be an ISP in connecticut, so it's one of their customers. The only reference i can find to it here on WW is that it got caught in prozz' spider trap [webmasterworld.com] a year ago.

Can't find any info whatsoever any other places.

It visited me two times on June 2 - saw 11 pages and made 9020 hits to the server. 9000 of these hits was to a badly formatted link that it just kept hitting over and over again.

It did not request robots.txt

I've banned it, so i haven't seen it again, but i've been trying to find info (I don't particulary like not knowing stuff), and i found nothing.

Does anyone know anything?

The IP is from Belgium
212.190.252.64

"I'm still not RIPE" ;) Appropiate in this instance.

BTW it appears I do NOT have that range denied as of yet.
Maybe they don't like me?

wilderness, sorry that i didn't write it clearly, but this isn't the ip.

212.190.252.64.snet.net is the host name. It resolves to the IP: 64.252.190.212, owned by "SBC Internet Services".

It is their "Static ADSL Pool, Meriden, CT, USA" judging by dnsstuff.com info. So, it appears to be some private (DSL) user running a bot of some kind.

Perhaps SNET is a subsidiary of SBC, i don't know.
