i found some info on it at [robotstxt.org...]
but this data is over 2 years old! is the useragent the same?
You might want to be a bit careful. If you are using awstats, and that is where you THINK you are getting this info from, take a quick look at your logs, too. awstats INCORRECTLY reposts this bot, and to be honest, I cannot tell exactly what is IS reporting! I THINK it is just reporting users from roadrunner (a legit ISP).
So, if you are using awstats, do not trust it on this one!

They do run one named Thunderstone of whose explanation for documet retrieval I don't care for at all.
I'm unable to recall anything of this UA which is recent. There may be something in my records. Not sure. I'll take a look when I can
Don
That Thunderstone is a bad one... it also come like this:
T h u n d e r s t o n e
and
T-h-u-n-d-e-r-s-t-o-n-e
I have a lot of problems with baby hackers from RR- the kind that just d/led a new toy and think they know what they are doing. Unfortunately, they keep doing it over and over. I would dealy LOVE to ban RR- I am sure they are one of the very unresponsive ISP's you often refer to (at leats they have been for me!)

Dave
While looking at one of their pages the other day?
I stumbled across a line which said RR was owned by Time-Warner ;)
Seems to me that company TW is associated with another company as well.
There are two words of which I have been repulsed the entire time I've been on the net, "Yahoo and AOL."
And now that I've insulted 50% of the internet, I'll retire for the evening ;)
If you ban everyone from Road Runner, you are going to end up banning many legitimate users including myself. And yes, TWX owned RR before the TWX-AOL merger.
Ted
Both Don and I have discoved that many ISP's- and, from my experienec, RR SPECIFICALY- could care less. I have read some of Don's comments about sending in a report, getting a canned response for logs, sending the logs, getting a canned response, round and round and nothing happens... and all I could think of was RR!
Don will laugh at this- I blocked all of a RR segment once- I think it was San Antonio or Austin... it is back online now that I have other, really good protections!

DESPAIR! DESPAIR! :)
At one time Dave when RR began rapidly expanding their backbone market, it seemed as though I was adding a newfound geographical region daily.
Not sure how many they have today?
Midwest, Southwest, West, South.
My ISP had recently renamed some NG's for it's users as part of a merger. I have an inquiry in regarding the comparison between spamming violations and wesbite transitions. I likely won't get an answer that is educational.
Mosy ISP and backbone have a line in their User Agreements/TOS which cover website/network transgressions and their potential to affect other subscribers. I've no found and ISP/backbone yet that was willing to apply a policy violation to one its users to appease a website.
In fact I have an email from a major provider (more than two-years-old,) which advised me to take preventive action to "permanently resolve the issues" on my own. That suggestion is what I've been doing ever since.
I even recall and ongoing email between myself, the offender and the backbone in which the backbone threatened me with slander. Realizing the backbone was not aware of the difference between slander and libel, I decided to take the approach the offender was using, which was to just outfox the backbone ;-)
