IP Query

Hi

The IP address below has been banging my server for the last few days at intervals of 2 mins a time. Getting quite frustated as I can't seem to find anything about it.

Time: February 24th 2003, 09:59AM ¦ IP: 194.196.209.239 ¦ Referer: ¦ Browser: Mozilla/3.01 (compatible;)

Can anyone help me find out, who and where its coming from?

You can check this a variety of ways - reverse DNS gives you these;

Name: saralee.axone.fr
Address: 194.196.209.239

A quick check at www.ripe.net (as it's a european IP range) suggests that "Powerweb France" owns the entire 194.196.209.* range and that the range is managed by AT&T.

Sadly there didn't appear to be any useful contact information with the RIPE record.
