I'm afraid I don't have access to the server log. I just happened to spot it on my homebrewed stats system.

might be a specific user setting in the agent, google can't find anything and they crawl log files often...

I had it too yesterday..

only my guestbook pages though.. then it proceeded to follow the sign guestbook link etc..
stranger though I have validation links on this page and it validated the page too? HTTP showed W3C Validator and CSS validator calling the page twice within seconds of the BOT...

anyone know?
I found other Production+Bot+DOT+?16B (?=numbers different) via google that had actually signed some guestbooks?

Should I ban (they didn't call robots.txt first anyway)
and I'm on a windows server (so no .htaccess?)

You could sign your own guestbook with a throw-away-email addy and wait for spam. At least I have blocked these "x Bot #" things.
