I got massive requests from this bot. It acts like Java1.1.8. I don't have ips.

Did it behave itself and respect robots.txt? By "massive hits," do you mean it requested a
bunch of pages all-at-once, or did it just request a few per second?

It hit my index page hundreds of times in a matter of seconds. I don't know about robots.txt because it didn't request anything else but the index page. I cannot tell if it requested the robots.txt or not. My logs are produced by asp on this site, and it doesn't fire off on a regular txt.
