I need someone's help! I killed a spider in my home earlier, and I don't know what kind it is. I have looked on many websites to try and find it but never did. It is small, black with white spots, and has a short torso and short legs. It is kind of fuzzy in appearance. Please help me if you can.

Thanks!

Welcome to webmasterworld!,
LOL good one, nice to see someone with a sense of humor.

Just in case you're serious... try a search on google.com for "spider identification -engine -googlebot -scooter"

regal jumping spider [creatures.ifas.ufl.edu]?

If not it could only be the elusive Gigablast spider. ;)

Thank you key_master for finding the correct spider! I am so happy to know that the darn thing isn't poisonus. I have a 4 year old that freaks out whenever she sees any kind of spider or insect!

Sorry that I intruded on a website that was not even for arachnids! I feel like a complete idiot! Oh, well. Thanks anyway for your help in this matter!

D'you think we should set up a real arachnid resource to point people at when they find this site listed under "spider identification"? :)

I love posts like this. I think Brett ought to set up a natural spider identification forum. :)
