I did a search for the IP 198.185.18.207 and it's all over the web in things like discussion forums... as the IP of the poster. Then again, I also saw it with the UA fo LNSpiderguy... weird.

been hitting the servers down here in the last week as well.
Any idea if it complies with robots.txt or are those of us on IIS servers going to have to get some fancy code to bounce him? <grin>

Well, I know lexis-nexis is a fairly old and widely used research database... Been a fixture in University libraries for a long time. But I'm not familiar with their web spider.
Not something I'd worry about though, unless you're worried about graduate students looking up your data in the wee hours of the morning in their research library cubicles...
