Had a few pages spidered on 12/21 by
Mozilla/4.0 X3@kto.takoy
this AM they showed up as
Mozilla/4.0 (hhjhj@yahoo.com)

Of course the 2nd resulted in a 403
deny from 64.57.223.

A search at Google retrieved some 696,000 hits for Aims Inc. Went through a few pages.

Any more info on these guys? They made over 700 page requests to my shopping cart over the weekend. Politely timed, but who are they and why are my cgi URLs of such great interest to them?

The were hitting me from IP 64.57.223.40...

Something to do with airplanes? Looks worldwide, if this [aims-inc.com] is them. Their form button wouldn't let me go any farther in Opera.

Hard to say... like wilderness pointed out, Aims Inc. is a pretty popular company name. My standard is to use the domain from the contact information on their Whois records... but they used a yahoo email, which makes me think it is a somewhat shadier company than the aero-stuff page you mention.

It was because the web site included the first address in Florida that made me wonder. Could be just a coincidence.

If you snoop around on the IP block allocated to Aims, Inc. (64.57.223.32 - 64.57.223.63) you find references to p*rn sites.

Example: http:/64.57.223.34/ (Forbidden 403 page)

NE 64.57.223 results in the following

JTEL Communications (NETBLK-JTEL-BLK-1)JTEL-BLK-1 64.57.192.0 - 64.57.223.255
tommysworldbbs (NETBLK-TOMMY-1)TOMMY-1 64.57.223.1 - 64.57.223.15
thebest.net (NETBLK-THEBEST-2)THEBEST-2 64.57.223.16 - 64.57.223.31
Aims Inc. (NETBLK-AIMS-1)AIMS-1 64.57.223.32 - 64.57.223.63

the 2nd two lines (Tommy & Thebest) have no bearing. They are outside of the Aims block.

JTEL is the backbone.
Even their block is so small that there may be another provider to JTEL
