Pointing one site to another on the same servers

Hi there. I have one site that currently has no hosting and was thinking of pointing it to another that does. They're both on the same name servers. I imagine this wouldn't be healthy SE practice? The site with hosting is the more important one to me - would it be negatively affected by this?

I don't seem to have suffered from doing this. If the site that is pointing is not submitted to SEs I think that you are fine.

Nvision,

I agree with Ian, I think that you will be okay.

I didn't really see too much trouble from the theory of Google penalizing for cross-linking between sites on the same server either........

Neither have I agerhart - We are a hosting services provider and so have many sites on our servers.

Many of the businesses that host with us are small local businesses and have commercial links between the companies as well as net links (I just encourage them to introduce the latter)
