How do you think would be the best way to promote a website through Search Engines, other than ppc?

You can simply do SEO (Search Engine Optimization). A LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing) based SEO is the best way since Google recognizes LSI.

How do you us LSI to promote the website, and how does it work? Sorry for the questions, since we are rather new to this.

I thought ODP was another good way to promote a new site on the search engines.
